Meet Tai /The Heart Behind FlamingBeauTee Candles


My name is Tai and in 2007, I was diagnosed with lupus. At the time, I was a full-time phlebotomist working at a children’s hospital — a career I truly loved. But as my condition worsened, I had to make the difficult decision to leave the job I was so passionate about. It was heartbreaking.

Through it all, my grandmother was my rock. She constantly reminded me to trust God, to let Him guide my steps, and most importantly, to never give up on myself. When she passed away in November 2022, it shook me to my core. But I held on to her words and decided to keep pushing forward — with faith, purpose, and hope.

I began focusing on what brought me peace and joy. I’ve always loved candles — especially buying them from Bath & Body Works — until one day I thought, “Why not make your own?” That moment sparked something in me. In December 2024, I started watching videos, researching, and learning everything I could about candle-making. What started as a healing hobby quickly turned into a passion and a vision.

Now, every candle I create is inspired by a personal story, a moment, or a feeling — each one intentionally named to reflect that vision. The flame that’s been reignited in me is one I want to share with the world. I believe that we all carry a unique light within us, and sometimes, it just needs a little spark.
